The old silk road that existed in the past is being reborn; in what some are calling the new South-South trade route; encompassing Asia, Middle East and Africa. A focal point in this new route is Dubai, a hub of global transport and logistics, a city that is helping to bridge the new silk road between East and West. In the middle of this dynamic environment, Aramex has built its new facility in Dubai Logistics City, or DLC.
DLC is a business-friendly zone nestled between Dubai World Central International Airport and adjacent to the Jebel Ali Port and Duty-Free Zone. Modern roads and infrastructure makes this a perfect nexus for transportation through sea, air, and land.
Within Aramex’s new world-class facility in DLC, you will find solutions to deliver on all of your logistics needs, helping you to get your inventory or products from any place in the world, to anywhere in the world. So you can export or import your products easily and efficiently with warehousing, transportation, and total supply chain management solutions.
But it is not only about a strategic location. The facilities include state-of-the-art technology, efficiency in operations, and all the end-to-end solutions you need under one roof.
The Retail Section
Aramex’s facility is a perfect complement to your business. You get a total storage area of 72,000 m2 presented in 30,000 m2 open yard and 42,000m2 warehouse divided into two cells, including a Temperature Controlled Chamber, and an End Retail Section. The Temperature Controlled Chamber ensures that your temperature-sensitive items, including garments, electronics, or any other items are not harmed. Aramex has dedicated almost 50% of the new facility to be temperature controlled at 20 C.
Along with these solutions, Aramex facilities also abide by global safety regulations and are environmentally
friendly. Our facilities are also TAPA-A certified, OHSAS certified, with 527 CCTV cameras, 24/7 CCTV control room surveillance, high tech alarm system, state-of-the-art fire fighting system, access control, and grills on all the window. And because we are committed to our environment, our facilities are all LEED compliant. We have buildings that provide 23% of natural light, while an occupancy detector ensures that lights switch on only when someone passes.
The building also has two sewage treatment facilities to recycle water for plants irrigation, while the taps have infrared sensors to cut water consumption. Instead of traditional ACS, big fans are used to cut energy consumption. And to keep your people motivated, there are multi-purpose courts with basketball, football, volleyball courts, cricket nets, gymnasium, cafeteria, and day care center to ensure that all your health and social needs are met.
So no matter what your business needs are, Aramex’s new facility in DLC can be the key to your success. We can help you be part of the fabric of this new emerging silk road.
Proximity to key ports and excellent infrastructure make DLC the ideal hub for transportation via land, air, and sea.
